What we're about
PSW (http://pswscience.org), the oldest scientific society in Washington, DC, was founded in 1871 by Joseph Henry of the Smithsonian Institution and other leading scientists. The Society invites prominent scientists from the United States and abroad to present the latest scientific research. Meetings are generally held every other Friday evening from September to May in the Powell Auditorium, adjacent to the Cosmos Club in downtown Washington.
There is no admission charge for the lectures. However, please note that joining the meetup group is not the same as joining PSW. Society membership helps to pay for the meetings and other expenses. Dues-paid members of the Society also have the opportunity to attend pre-meeting dinners with the speakers. Apply for society membership here (https://www.formstack.com/forms/?1669095-MMC4gPlKJ2).
