Please join Phoenix Philanthropists for a wonderful evening serving a delicious and nutritious meal to lovely families in need at St. Vincent de Paul's Family Dining Room. This is always afun and delightful event, welcoming and serving guests, and interacting with children in the Dream Center. Simply bring your wonderful smile and come make this a very special evening for parents and children.
Duties: Set up, serve meals, clean up, assist with children's activities in the Dream Center, and other duties assigned by the Family Evening Meal Manager.
Age limit: Only children over 14 years of age may serve on the hot food line; however, children 9 to 14 may help with beverages, trays, bussing tables and other important duties.
Dress Code: lease wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. Jeans, slacks, knee-length shorts, t-shirts, sweats, uniforms or sneakers are fine. (Please, NO sandals, flip-flops, open-toe shoes, heels, tank tops, open midriff tops, low-cut tops or short-shorts.)
Phoenix Philanthropists Release Form: If you have not already, please complete the new online Phoenix Philanthropists Release Form (http://thephoenixphilanthropists.org/release-form/). A form should also be completed by any adult guests of members; and for each participating child under 18, by their parent or legal guardian. This online form only needs to completed one time, not before each Phoenix Philanthropists event; but, if you are uncertain whether you have completed the new online form, please submit one now.
St. Vincent de Paul Waiver: If this is your first time volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul, or if you have not previously completed it, please print this St. Vincent de Paul Waiver (http://files.meetup.com/1034457/St.%20Vincent%20de%20Paul%20Release.doc), sign it, and turn it in at the Security Desk upon arrival. If you are under 18, a guardian signature must be included.
Parking & Entrance: To get to the entrance in the North Parking Lot, from Watkins, go north on 3rd Drive and turn left into the parking lot at the PINK PILLARS. The lobby is located at the other set of PINK PILLARS.
Check-In & Lockers: Check in with Security who will provide a badge (paper sticker) to be worn while volunteering. Print your FIRST NAME ONLY on the badge. For protection of your personal belongings, please ask the guard for a locker key.
Attendance Policy: Please note Phoenix Philanthropists does have an attendance policy. We understand that plans change and emergencies come up. If you RSVP YES, but can no longer attend, PLEASE change yourRSVP ASAP. Please note that we do have an attendance policy. Our charity partners rely on us to attend when we say we will and our attendance policy is intended to ensure we can meet our charity partners' expectations. Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice for this event before canceling. No Call/No Shows will be recorded, and after 3 No Call No Shows/3 months or 6 No Call No Shows/year, you will be removed from the Phoenix Philanthropists MeetUp. Please understand this policy is not intended to penalize our philanthropists, but to ensure we maintain good relationships with our charity partners and can give the most back to our community.
