In the deliziosa aroma of fresh vegetables and toppings of gourmet pizza italiano, join the Phoenix Philanthropists, as we escape to Italy in the authentic pizza kitchen at St. Vincent de Paul to create scrumptious gourmet pizzas for those most in need. Volunteer pizzaioli will prepare delectable toppings, including fresh vegetables and meats, roll the original-recipe pizza dough, and help make the mouth-watering pizza pies. This program, spearheaded and developed by ASU professor, Dr. Phil Mizzi, and influenced by one of the top Italian pizzaioli in the United States, producing an average of 120 gourmet pizzas each Friday, was designed as a healthy and economical solution to enhance the quality of meals and promote the dignity of guests through the quality of service and the care and compassion of volunteers. The pizzas are all made in the kitchen at St. Vincent de Paul's Main Campus, then distributed alternately each Friday between two of SVdP's Phoenix dining rooms (including the on-site Family Dining Room). The only thing missing from the extensive menu of Salami, Creamy Roasted Red Pepper Sauce, Asparagus, Shiitaki Mushrooms, Salami, Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes, Basil, Corn, Pancetta, Roasted Garlic, Blue Cheese, and so much more, is you! So grab your spice rack of love, energy, good fun, and cheer, and join us in the cucina! Together, in a very fun and high-energy environment, we will cook up a magnifico & deliziosa difference for families and individuals struggling most in our community.

May include, but not limited to
