Tell us about your background in photography. How did you get started, and how long have you been into it?

Started taking pictures using a plastic camera that cost about 75cents US. The frist roll of film's processing cost more than the camera's price. It was a total failure. There was no image in the processed film! Gradually upgraded to a 2-dollar camera, and then 5-dollar, and then an SLR. It has been decades but there was a vacuum for perhaps 20 years or more when I took pictures with my brain only. Now I am a casual snapshooter although I do appreciate great pictures. Oh, yes, I did win some awards in some Hong Kong photo magazines when I was a high school student. Never entered any exhibition afterwards.

What type of photography do you enjoy the most? People, landscapes, animals, fine art?

People would be great if there are objects available. Landscape, same.

What kind of gear do you use? Do you still use film or are you all digital?

Have been using digitals since Year 2000 or so. Has never taken cellulose pictures since. Have a first generation Canon 5D, a GF1, and some simple digital cams.

Was a photography hobbyist as a teenager, winding bulk 35mm film into cartridges, processed them at home, and enlarged pictures in a tiny bathroom using homemade developers and fixers. Stopped upon entering college, and I'm back.
