Well, I just got the email reminder for this event...
38 people are coming?!! gulp, guess you're expecting a show, eh? Well, I hope there is good weather!

I dragged Robin out for a recon last weekend, we learned a lot about the area!
So, here's my plan.

We'll meet under the dome in the park... we can chat, shoot, chimp in that area.
Around 7:30 we will walk up the street a ways and have a look at the dome and buildings alongside the creek at Letterman Digital Arts complex... we found some good spots for a new view on dome and the gate as well... maybe we can get a bit of sunset?

Around 8:30 we will head back down to the palace of fine arts in search of some long exposure shots of the area. I've seen some pretty images on flickr when I search, http://flickr.com/sea...
let's see what we can make!

When we are finished shooting reflections and cool night images, I'll be retiring to Liverpool Lil's, just up the hill at Lyon and Lombard for a bite and pint. We can review images and chat!

Looking forward!
Cheers,

Since we are going to meet under the dome, I take it the fence is down and the construction is done? I can't wait to do some photography, really hectic week...
thanks

I recall someone mentioning at the last meeting that the fence was down. Looking forward to tonight.

Boy, howdy was that fun!

I need to go back already! It was great fun using the lightpen to paint with. Where do I get one again?
It was fun taking shots and looking at other's shots. I have all sorts of ideas of things I want to try another night!

MumblyJoe, love your shots of the Palace...
And John, your shot with the fountain in pond is very inspirational. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's shots! More of mine are on Flickr, search for SF Photographers Meetup.

Cheers,
She

Those photos look great. The ones that are like those Sprint commercials are particularly fantastic! I am most sad that I wasn't able to come.

Great stuff by all who posted in the meetup gallery.
The "painting with light" images are really fun!
