- Theme of the week - Rainbow!
Rainbow! It can be many things in a photograph. Go literal with an actual rainbow splashed across a real sky, or figurative with a panoply of found colors, shades of people's complexions, shapes that echo that ancient promise or anything else that shouts or whispers "rainbow" to you.
- Theme of the week - Water!
Before you say "water you talking about", allow me to whet your appetite for some photography action with this week's photo challenge theme; water. As in H20. You know, the wet stuff that sometimes falls out of the sky and less often rises out of the river bank and makes itself at home in your basement. Get a photo. Upload it here and we'll have a conversation! I think you will enjoy it!
- Theme of the week - Shadow!
If you're a fan of C. S. Lewis and the Platonic Ideal, you may have a highly developed notion of shadow, but you really don't need one for this challenge. Let your creative juices guide you to the reality of that which is but a distant impression of the perfect, but which gives a glimpse of it Just be sure to post your images before Sunday at 7, because this Sunday we're going live on Zoom (see below for the link)! Make sure your image is big enough to be seen (oh, say about 2048 pixels on the long side) and upload them to this page. Let's see how creative you can be!
- First anniversary party for Studio 858 in Saint Ann!
Come join the fun, folks, as Studio 858, one of our sponsors, celebrates 1 year in Saint Ann! There will be light refreshments (appropriate for photographers, don-cha-know), photo ops and information on upcoming events and classes! We'll also have an activity list that you can vote on to let us know how you'd like to see the Photography Club grow! Sign up and don't miss this event!
- Photo Critique!
Ars gratia artis! This is the first event in our new location at 10459 St. Charles Rock Road. Let's talk composition, elements and other aspects of image creation. Bring us 5 to 10 of your most recent photos and we'll give you some helpful evaluation of your images. Make them full resolution jpeg files (if you're not sure how to do that, be sure to sign up for our Adobe Lightroom classes) and save them into a directory (folder) titled with your name. Copy that directory to a USB drive and bring it to our critique!
- Theme of the week -Green!
Some people see red, some are really into the green, but I'm not ready to sing the blues, just lookin' for photos and stretching the boundaries of my imagination. This isn't any kind of New Deal, just an invitation to interpret the world around you through a particular theme. Think Green! Just be sure to post your images before Sunday at 7, because this Sunday we're going live on Zoom (see below for the link)! Make sure your image is big enough to be seen (oh, say about 2048 pixels on the long side) and upload them to this page. Let's see how creative you can be!
- Theme of the week - KP Duty!
KP Duty, everyone's favorite! You may not be a fan of kitchen cleanup, even though you enjoy the fruits of kitchen labors, but there's beauty to be found in them there pots and pans! Everything is beautiful in it's own way, so let's see if you can coax it out of what you find in YOUR kitchen! Just be sure to post them before Sunday at 7, because this Sunday we're going live on Facebook (see below for the link)! Make your image is big enough to be seen (oh, say about 2048 pixels on the long side) and upload them to this page. Let's see how creative you can be!
