Let's meet for an hour or two after work in Hillsborough to practice evening photography by taking pix of the moon. The timing could not be better. The full moon is in a perfect position to shoot while there is still daylight left.
I am going to limit this meetup to 12 people in order for me to be able to help anyone that wants one on one help with their camera settings or a general use primer for this type of photography.
Let's meet outside at the Weaver St. Market in Downtown Hillsborough and then head to the top of the nearby parking deck to get setup to shoot the moon. Afterward, we can grab a teal or food at WSM, I will be happy to answer any questions that may have gone unanswered during the shoot.
It will be a good idea to bring along a camera that has a zoom lens. It doesn't matter if it's a point and shoot or a DSLR. Tripods are preferred, but not necessary. Lesson One of Photography: Make do with what you have. :-) I'll have a couple of spare tripods with me that can be shared.
We will meet rain or shine at Weaver Street Market. Even if it's it's cloudy and the moon doesn't come out, I can let folks know general settings and some basic night photography and low lighting photography tips that everyone should be able to use during the holiday season.
Email me direct should you need more info. I will post my cell phone number to all of those folks that sign up.
