Let's go to the woods and see what we can find to photograph. We will meet by the Siegburg train station and then walk along the 'green way' to the forest, looking for inspiring nature subjects.
The 'green way' is about 25 minutes each way to the forest, and then add some time for a loop through the forest - so bring walking shoes. (If it is poor weather, we can explore the Michaelsberg in town.)
Equipment you might bring: macro lenses, wide and long lenses. We can try out the effect of wide angles, that distances look larger, and long lenses bringing distances closes (try for the appearance of crowded flowers or trees....).
If it is sunny, think about bring a reflector or still white paper to cast shade/control the light. If cloudy, think about bringing a flash or other light source to add a bit of 'oomph' to some photos.
No matter what kind of equipment you have, you can participate - the theme is 'rules of composition'. We will talk about the rule of thirds, perspective, diagonals in your design, and using depth of field. Here are some links to get you thinking what you'd like to try:
