What we’re about
Check here for our volunteering, educational, and social events. We're a grassroots, community organization that provides emergency shelters to houseless folks. The shelters are combined with wrap-around support services like trash and needle pickups.
Volunteering opportunities include working with houseless folks to clean up local camps, helping us prepare emergency shelters, helping to deploy the shelters on location, and various food and supply distributions.
Events will include town halls, fundraisers, art and music, and COVID-safe community meetups.
The People's Housing Project is a grassroots-funded organization. We don't take any corporate or government, so all our work happens entirely due to support from community members like you!

Hey friends,
That's right, the rumors are true! We're organizing monthly potlucks with our friends on the street! You've come to the right Meetup page if you love breaking bread, cooking, helping people have a nice meal, and vibing with like-minded community members. Bonus points if you're sick of these capitalist politicians wasting our money by implementing right-wing, failing policies. (insert eye-roll here)
Our lovely friend Emma will be leading these monthly potlucks! Our goal is to get our unhoused friends fed, build community with them and show them some love, and grow our network of neighbors who know that we need to build community power to push back on the clowns in office.
ALSO: bring enough food for you to eat as well! There's more power in sharing food, than just serving it ;)
You are welcome to meet us at the camps or at our HQ. We'll start at HQ, so if anyone needs to pack their food into containers, we can do so there. We'll then carpool down to the camps together!
If you'd prefer to meet at the camps or have to come later, park in or near the Plaid Pantry on N Going St
