The SJAA General Meeting for November 2013, featuring a professional solar astronomer, will go on!
This Saturday, 16 November, social time starts at 7:30 and the meeting commences at 8PM. Our speaker is Dr. Junwei Zhao (http://sun.stanford.edu/~junwei/), from Stanford Solar Observatories Group (http://sun.stanford.edu/). His topic will be the Solar Cycle and Helioseismology, which is timely given we are coming out of the solar maximum. Remember, too, that the SJAA has its solar viewing program, and it's program manager, Michael Packer, does great work with that.
Location is SJAA base camp, Houge Park (http://www.sjaa.net/viewing-locations/#Houge_Park).
The same evening, starting at 6PM will be the monthly board of directors meeting. It's open to all, and the board invites everyone to come and participate and provide ideas and suggestions for our purely volunteer run organization.
Please remember that the hall will be in a bit of disarray due to the renovation work the city is doing. Please bear with us.
