Viewing the Geminids

A former member
I am trying to find a place to go where we will be guaranteed good viewing for the meteor show. The problem is finding a dark site with clear skies. As you know, locally, the weather has been rather cloudy at night. Some suggestions have been Monte Bello, Mt. Diablo, Tilden Park in Berkeley/Oakland. I looked at a weather site for Monte Bello and it was not encouraging.

I'll look into Tilden, but it may be that the best site is Mount Diablo. If that is the case, are any of you prepared to go to Mount Diablo?
