Monthly Critiques

This is the album to use if you want your shots to be critiqued. Please don't upload to this album unless you are prepared for feedback. We will also discuss the pictures the following Wednesday at Pints & Prints if you are there.

Here is the lingo we use:

OTC : "Open for Critique" - You are stating that your photo is open for critique. If you post in the Monthly Critique album it is assumed that you want your photograph critiqued.

OTR: "Open for Retouching" - You are stating that is okay for someone to download your photograph and retouch it. Retouching will only take place if you label it as OTR.  Otherwise no one is to assume you want your photo retouched.  You must state OTR or "Open to Retouching" in the description of the photograph if you are okay with it.

* For the Critiquers...please be polite when you post up critiques. As with all opinions they can be taken harshly when not intended that way. Make sure you re-read your comments before you post them and make sure they are as clear as possible. NEVER download and retouch a photo without OTR (or Open to Retouching) being in the comments. It you retouch a photo without permission and put it back on the site, that retouched photo will be immediately removed.

Hi Mary Anne, Pints and Prints was a monthly meetup that we sort of let go by the wayside. We would meet at bar or a restaurant, grab something to eat and talk about photography. It was strictly a social meet up. If you had an image that you wanted advice on you could bring it and we would critique it. Not too brutally of course but be prepared for honest opinions. It was a good opportunity to talk to and ask questions of some of the more experienced members of the group. I think when the weather changes and people aren't shooting as much, we will start it up again.

What is Pints & Prints? I couldn't find any information about it at this site.
