Happy Hallow*Green Potluck Party

Last year was so much fun, we've decided to do it again. What a great way to start our potluck gatherings back up again after this long summer break.

Fall is here, my friends. There is a nip in the air, leaves are changing colors, crops are abundant, and soon the wee ones will be scurrying about in costume.

Bring your friends and the whole family to celebrate fall with us in a laid back style of seasonal rhythm and tradition. This is my favorite time of year for heart warming food -- AND heart warming friends!

I have been having so much fun in the kitchen creating super spooky recipes for a NEW Hallow*Green section of my Holiday Recipe Book. I'm excited to share some demos with the group!

We warmly invite you to join us as we soak up sunshine in this fabulous park setting. Several picnic tables are scattered around the covered ramada but since we usually have a large crowd, we encourage everyone to bring picnic blankets and/or chairs for yourself/family.

Everyone is asked to bring a dish that is RAW VEGAN to share with an ingredient list, serving utensils and water bottle. To keep it green, we ask that you bring a plate, cloth napkin and eating utensils. (CLICK HERE FOR MORE POTLUCK DETAILS)

Very few of our members are exclusively 100% raw vegan. Many people join us for tips on how to INCREASE the amount of raw food in their daily diet. We completely understand if you prefer/need/desire other healthy foods in addition to our raw feast potlucks. We welcome you to bring it for yourself in addition to the raw vegan food you bring to share. Please note: All items on the SHARING TABLE will be RAW VEGAN.

We ask for a $2 contribution from all attendees. CLICK HERE to learn what we do with this money.

Jared and I wandered around with our butterscotch pie wondering where everyone was. If you found each other, I hope you had a great time. We went home, made dinner and had a great dessert!

My family and I searched the entire park for this potluck, we checked all ramada's, including #5. We asked over 20 different people if they knew where you were. We finally encountered Beth and Susan, who could also not find the rest of the group. I hope that the next potluck is more organized. Where was everybody? What happened, we were there with food to share for 8, and all of our reusable food supplies.

I'm wondering if anyone received our email that went out announcing the family emergency. We've never had a failed event and extend our sincerest apologies.... We do hope you'll give the group another try :)

What potluck? There wasn't any potluck to be found, though I found Connie and family and one other person.

This is the first event I have missed in our 2+ year history. My apologies to the group. We had a family emergency. With the ramada mixup and me not being there to put up our signage, it wasn't the smashing success we usually rawk out. However, it does sound like small groups of raw parties happened all over the park. (BEEutiful) Thanks to all of you that rolled with this in a light hearted way... I have thoroughly in*joyed reading your emails -- and to the sweet rawkstar that shared her raw tacos with the folks at Ramada #5, YOU TRULY ROCK! They loved you and have already contacted us about WHAT we are and do! LOL ~ PS ~To the two members that paid their $2 online, we already issued refunds! Much love. Keep shining. Thank you for your flexibility with today.

In response to emails: YES! Families ARE welcome - parents, children, babies, neighbors -- and well behaved fur babies on leash :)

Ft Lowell Park, Ramada #5 is where we usually meet but I did not receive confirmation from the park so I am unsure if it will be reserved for us or not.

However, if it is occupied there is ample space to still set up and in*joy. To the left of this ramada is the little man made stream, lots of shade and benches. You can see it from Ramada #5 so there won't be any confusion. We'll be in one place or the other.

If anyone has a folding table to set up as our "buffet table" that would be grand! Blankets and camping style chairs are suggested. I've enjoyed hearing all about what folks are bringing. Sounds like it will be a delicious afternoon. Starts at 4pm, ends at sunset. You may want to bring a flashlight or glow necklace for fun. Costumes welcome but please respect small children/families... no gory/scary or pretend weapons. We must be able to see your face!

See you then! Look for the sign that points you in the direction of Ramadas 5-7 :)
