September Game Developers Meetup

6.15 Path of Exile Level Design

This talk will give an overview of the random level generator system in action RPG Path of Exile.  It will focus on the varied generator and design features used to create the jungles and dungeons of Wraeclast. This should be useful to anyone using a tile-based system for their game environments or level design in general.

6.35 KiwiJam Showcase

We'll showcase some of the projects worked on at this weekend's KiwiJam (

7.15 Pizza, networking, group discussions then eventually the Bluestone Room pub.

    Tonight was interesting in that it was delving deep into an area of an extensive game and the mechanics of the build were impressive. Real nuts and bolts stuff that gives someone like me great appreciation of the work involved. Some good projects at the end there too from the Jam. Nice :)
