1) You MUST prepurchase your tickets before you can sign up for this event

2) To purchase tickets online, go here:

3) The Tour is called Journey through Time - South Orange County and costs $65 per person.

4) If you encounter difficulty trying to pay for the tour, then call Yvonne Dunkley at: [masked] x200

You will know you have successfully registered and paid for the event by getting an email confirmation from them. So don't think you have signed up for the event until you get their emailed confirmation.

5) This tour will sell out in advance, so don't hesitate in purchasing your tickets.

6) This is an all day event where we will travel by a tour bus. The event starts at 9 AM and ends at 5 PM. If you live in LA, it will take you about 2 hours of rush hour traffic to get down to The OC starting point of the tour. So I suggest leaving your LA home no later than 7 AM.

7) I am hosting this event for both Gay foodies and Pleasure Palate.

I have been wanting to do a South OC historical trip for some time now. So when I learned about this all day guided tour, I realized this one would be one of those once in a decade or so tours which will take me to places I normally can't access or have a docent guided tour at. I've gone on board on the docked Pilgrim in Dana Point, but the idea of having a private lunch on it sounds wonderful. So come join me on this all day tour that covers a lot of places of historical significance and beauty. $65 is a bargain for what this tour is offering for attendees.

This full day tour will visit California’s oldest residential historic street where 1790s adobes are preserved next to Victorian homes in a neighborhood captured in an earlier era of San Juan Capistrano.  Then travel to 1920s planned communities. Dana Point where a visit to the ruins of a never built 1930s hotel will contrast the early dreams of Edward L. Doheny Jr. and Sidney H. Woodruff with today’s reality, Dana Point Harbor.  After lunch aboard the tall ship Pilgrim we will visit Ole Hanson’s 1920s “Spanish Village by the Sea” and visit his home Casa Romantica and the Casino in San Clemente.  The trip will take us past Doheny State Beach with a drive through the historic art colony of Laguna Beach.
