I miss Bistro LQ like I miss decent Mexican food in France. Fortunately, Laurent Quenioux pops up from time to time around town, serving up his unique offerings for us, the foodies! His latest "fooding (" will be held at Vertical Wine Bistro in Old Pasadena.

This is my second visit, and I hope you can join me!

The Menu:

Mise en Bouche: “Bao” 2 Ways: Skate Wing, Spanish Chorizo, Crayfish, Crayfish Emulsion & Okinawan Sweet Potatoes, Vanilla, Maple Syrup, Olive Oil

Oyster Gelee, Kama-age Shirasu, Fresh Wasabi Curdle Egg Yolk, Aji Chiles Sushi Rice, Burnt Halibut, Fried Hama Hama Oyster.

Stuffed Zuchini Blossoms, Summer Truffles, Herbs, Butter “Jacques Maximim”* created them
