Recently, I had dinner at Marouch in East Hollywood for some Armenian/Lebanese food just to find out what was it that made renown LA Times's food critic Jonathan Gold name Marouch in his list of 101 best restaurants in LA in 2013.  Unfortunately, the restaurant seem to have passed its prime as the place was almost completely empty, and the best thing I ate was the rice pilaf.

Well, now I'm on a journey to find a better Armenian Lebanese restaurant, and I was given 3 recommendations, where all 3 of those restaurants are located near Valley Village.  I've dined at Cedar House before, but it was so long ago that I cannot remember what the food quality is like.  So, come embark on a journey into the SFV as I try out a few places in search for amazing Lebanese food.

What I learned at this Meetup: 1. Watch "movies" closely, you'll never know who you might recognize. 2. Be careful when turning your back towards Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey, especially if they have a large amount of cash in their hands.

Skaf's in Glendale had a fire. They're closed for a little while. Skaf's in NoHo is in this really tiny shopping center with a 7-11. Parking will be a bear.

There are 2 Skaf's in Glendale. I thought the one that had a fire in May has reopened?

I live a few minutes from Skaf's and agree that they are really good. Hayat's Kitchen is another great place. I'm walking distance from Cedar House but have never tried it.

You might want to go with Steev's recommendation. I ate at the Cedar House two weeks ago.
