I've been wanting to check out Wolfgang Puck's CUT for some time now, but have been a little intimidated by the price tag. But now CUT is participating in DineLA with an $85 prix fixe dinner that has my mouth watering, so I'm going!
Zagat says: "A cut above" is how carnivores describe Wolfgang Puck's "top-tier" Beverly Hills steakhouse where they feast on "world class" meats; "celebrity sightings are highly likely" in the "contemporary", "glistening", space designed by Richard Meier (architect of the Getty Center) and the staff treats you "like a million bucks" - and though your bill may seem to approach that level, most insist "you won't regret it."
Zagat rates the Food a 27, Décor a 25, and the Service a 26 (25-30 = Extraordinary to Perfection).
Jonathan Gold ranks CUT as #8 on his[masked] Best Restaurants list.
The price is $85 (plus tax, tip and your beverage) per person. CUT is inside the beautiful Beverly Wilshire Hotel (which many people remember from the movie Pretty Woman). The hotel offers valet parking. There is also street parking nearby, but be sure to read the signs!
