Please join us on April 13 at 7:15 pm for a 3-course prix fixe dinner at Jar Restaurant (FaceBook / Twitter / Yelp!).  If you aren't pairing wine or any other beverage with dinner, the price is $35, instead of $40.  If your plans change and you're no longer able to attend the event, please remove yourself from "Wait List" or "Yes" status to make room for interested parties. My BlackBoard Eats passcode will cover up to a party of 4. Each person in our party must order his/her own prix fixe - sorry, no sharing or splitting allowed.  Passcode grants us access to this exclusive menu; meal must be paid for at the restaurant.

BBE Prix Fixe Dinner Menu

First Course (choose one)

  • Soup of the day
  • Little Gem Caesar

Entrée (choose one)

  • Jar’s signature pot roast with carrots and caramelized onions
  • Roasted salmon with garlic mashed potatoes, baby broccoli
  • Coq au vin with applewood-smoked bacon and crimini mushrooms
  • Chopped sirloin with fried egg, peppercorn sauce, creamed spinach

Dessert (choose one)

  • Butterscotch pudding with salted caramel and whipped cream
  • Ice cream sundae

Suzanne Tracht’s steakhouse redux is the go-to eatery for meat lovers, a modern spin-off of old-school supper clubs that attracts Hollywood types, hip locals and couples out for a night on the town. While some might consider it sacrilege to pass on one of the tender cuts of beef—and everyone must try the signature pot roast at least once—there’s more to Jar than meat.  The roast salmon with garlic mashed potatoes can compete on the comfort level with any cut of land animal. Thank you Maria for organizing this great Prix Fixe dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. Love the pot roast and butterscotch pudding. This was an excellent value and a great group of women.

One of the best prix fixe dinners I've had this year. Service was attentive and we were seated before our reservation time slot :-) They served soft bread with cold, hard butter :-( It was a treat to dine with familiar faces over a delicious meal. The pot roast and butterscotch pudding were excellent choices. Thanks Ladies.

@Andree, you're reading my mind. I'm thinking of getting the butterscotch pudding for dessert.

@Sklar: Good catch on the pricing, thanks :-)

Actually, it's $35 for just the meal, and $40 is the meal plus a glass of wine.
