Please Note: Read the directions carefully below BEFORE you RSVP 'Yes' for this event.
1) I am hosting this event for both Gay Foodies and Pleasure Palate.
2) This is a two part event - we will have breakfast at Little Red Hen at 9 AM and then go on the Open Studios Tour at 11 AM. I am doing a hard stop at 2 PM because I have another event at 3 PM. The two parts are a la carte, meaning yo can choose just to join me for breakfast or just the Open Studio tour or both. You pick your own adventure.
3) If you attend the breakfast portion, please bring at least $20 in CA$H for your meal.
4) I can arrange for a carpool that can meet at Gothard Studio at 11 AM. If you carpool, please give you designated driver $3 for gas and car maintenance. Just a reminder - I am leaving the event at 2 PM. You are welcome to stay longer and visit more studios, but I have another event to host at 3 PM.
I wanted to go to the Open Studios at Altadena earlier this Summer, but was not able to fit it into my schedule. They are offering a Winter event just in time for XMas shopping. Its not as many studios as their Summer event, but there will still be plenty to see. I like visiting artist's studios because to me they are like a hybrid between house tours and gallery visits. Did I mention the event is FREE? So come join me for several hours in Altadena for breakfast at the Little Red Hen and then the Open Studios tour!
First Stop: Breakfast at Little Red Hen at 9 AM

Second Stop: Open Studios Tour. We will start at Gothard Studio located at 215 Laurel Dr. Altadena
From their website:
"The Open Studios Art Tour provides an intimate view into the artist’s life and studio; to be able to see where and how ideas are conceived and developed. When visiting an artist’s studio, the creative process becomes apparent and is unique to each artist. It provides a personal, individualized experience, unlike the setting of a typical gallery show. This is what makes our event so special. We don’t charge any admission fees, and welcome all of our neighbors to experience the Tour."
