I have hosted several events at the Rockwell for the past year now and each event has been a wonderful experience. Its a dinner and show type of event. We arrive early, stake out our table and seats, have dinner on the premises, then watch the show unfold and interact with you in a way most musical shows don't. Each show has some sort of tribte to a specific director and this time around the theme is from the Godfather films by Scorsese. So expect songs that are directly related to those movies or are in spirit to those films.
The video here gives of you a glimpse of what a past show was like with the Tarantino film tribute: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=05pSq8DSdFE&feature=youtu.be
"Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese gets the acclaimed For The Record treatment, which brings the director's soundtracks to life in a 360-degree live theatrical concert experience. This production marks the grand opening of the newly expanded Rockwell Table & Stage, which is the permanent home of For The Record. This eagerly anticipated edition of the series -- one that's also saluted the Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Baz Luhrmann, Paul Thomas Anderson and John Hughes -- features music and scenes performed live in concert from Scorsese's Goodfellas, The Departed, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Casino and more. The show stars a rotating cast from stage, screen and music performing an epic soundtrack that includes "Gimme Shelter," "Layla," "House of the Rising Sun," "Sunshine of Your Love" and more. The talented singers/actors move throughout the space, bringing the show tableside, where you can also take advantage of the venue's cuisine and cocktail options that are available for purchase."
