PMO Manager Position / 6-8 Month Contract

From: Jerry J.

Hello Project Managers –

My firm is looking to hire a PMO Manager for a 6-8 month consulting assignment in Austin. I thought this meetup group would be a good place to find the right candidate. Please let me know if you or someone you know is interested/qualified/available. Thanks in advance for your help. I am not a recruiter; this is a direct hire.

Job description: Project Manager, eCommerce PMO

This is an exciting 6-8 month consulting opportunity for someone in the Austin area. We are looking for an experienced PMO manager to coordinate across a series of IT and operations projects focused on building a new ecommerce platform for a consumer products company. The role will work closely with a senior program advisor and the company’s senior management team.

The candidate will have experience as a project manager who can work across multiple teams to assist them in project planning, scope management, risk identification, communication, impediment removal, and status reporting. As the new strategy is in its beginning stages, it will also involve assisting in the management of vendor selection and on-boarding, as well as working with internal and external software development teams to plan and conduct regular project team updates.

Although this is not a technical position, the candidate must have working knowledge and experience with web design, web development, ecommerce strategy, and online consumer engagement.

The candidate must have a collaborative style, excellent people skills, and be comfortable with developing reporting and review packages using Powerpoint, Excel, and Project.

Although not required, certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is preferred.

Please let me know if you or someone you know might be interested/qualified/available for this exciting project!

Best Regards,
