ALERT !! The East Lawrence Turnpike (I-70) exit is closed. Use West Lawrence or Lawrence/Lecompton exits !! West Lawrence (turns into Iowa Street) is closest to the event. The West Lawrence exit is very poorly marked heading eastbound. Start looking for it and stay in the right hand lane after you pass the Lecompton (10) exit. IF driving eastbound you miss the West exit, don't panic, go a few miles east of Lawrence to the Lawrence Rest Stop (McDonalds etc.), turn around there and head back west, take the first open Lawrence exit which will be West Lawrence.
