You are right it ticks a lot of other boxes very well!

Thanks. In my experience it will get fuller in the run up to Christmas. We've asked for a couple of tables to be reserved for us next month though and they agreed. We generally get 25 to 30 people coming to our group and most months we manage to take over the back corner completely by midway through the evening. I hope it won't get TOO noisy, crowded etc. and stop you attending. :-)

Sorry I couldn't make it - I was swamped by work and by the time I got away, I just didn't have the spoons left to come along later on.

Nickie, I appreciate that we can't meet downstairs in the same pub for accessibility reasons; How about looking at alternative venues though that are not so terribly loud and crowded?

If you can come up with suggestions, I'll happily investigate, but there does seem to be a dearth of suitable places in central London - what I like about our current venue is that it's wheelchair accessible, it's price accessible, it serves a sufficient variety of food and beverages to make it also at least tolerable to those with dietary or cultural reasons for avoiding some foods or beverages, and it doesn't play loud music. I'd be delighted to follow up any suggestions that meet or excel those criteria. Hope that helps.

Great meetup! Any chance though of moving our very popular events somewhere a bit less noisy and crowded, like downstairs?

Sorry, no! The main reason we use this pub is that it is fully accessible, but there is no access downstairs for wheelchair users.

And who's drawing up the plan for the blue parrot/swan? Lol

A good night with a decent mix of old and new faces. We've also managed to arrange for some tables to be booked next month, so we will at least be sure the first of us there will have somewhere to sit.

That would be fine. I often leave by 9:30 but plenty people usually stay later. Hope you can make it,

I might be in London on 2nd Oct. How long do people hang around in the pub? I wouldn't be able to get there til nearly 9.

    Welcome Akeem!

I will look out for you at the next meetup - look right to the back of the pub and look for the parrots, one small beanie baby on a table and a large inflatable one hanging from the light fitting.

    See you soon,
