“Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. “
Nelson Mandela inaugural speech - quoting Marianne Williamson.

What stops us from being ourselves? The answer to that question is at the heart of the human problem. Most of us have never learnt to really be ourselves, to deeply accept ourselves, to be authentically “me” in every interaction with others and with ourselves. The more I look deeply into this question the more I recognise that there are things that have a hold over us, things that somehow get in the way of us being ourselves, and that in some strange masochistic way, we allow this to happen !

We disconnect from our true selves every time we sabotage our well-being - our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. We eat junk food even though we know it’s not good for us. We moan and bitch about others even though we know it feeds a sense of powerlessness. We push down our feelings because we are ashamed of them and we want others to approve of us.

Most of us have grown up learning to hide what’s really going on. We learn how to lie - perhaps small little lies in the early days - but we build on that experience, and we become expert at lying, particularly to ourselves ! We end up with all kinds of strange and irrational belief systems, most of which are formed by our parents and the society we grow up in.

And yet, it’s also true that we are creators. We are always creating anew. That’s what life is - a constant flow of death and rebirth, and every moment, and every hour, every day, we are always creating or re-creating -ourselves ! We become victims of our own “re-creation” because, for most of us, it’s much easier to fall back on our so-called “normal” patterns of behaviour where we learn to put up masks, to pretend, to wander around in a world where we feel separate, alone, powerless, disenfranchised - a world which seeks to blame everybody else for all of our own unfelt feelings, for all our problems, for anything at all that causes us discomfort. We tend to look outside ourselves and blame something out there. Most of you reading this will recognise that that’s quite an insane thing to do. There is no power in blame, no responsibility and no sense of personal authority.

Do you really think that you were created to be a puppet, at the mercy of every whim and opinion and latest fad? Have you not heard that the kingdom of God is within you. What part of that do you not understand?

All of this begs the question “Do you really want to be you?” Really ? Or do you just like the idea?

Do you really want to claim that right, the right to stand 100% in your own physical body, to feel very sensation without fear, to experience every emotion, to perhaps challenge every single thought that disempowers you in anyway ? Do you really want to be you?

If you do ….. then come along to …. PLN !

The evening will give you an insight into how Eoin Scolard works with people to set them free, to be themselves. This is a small sample of his 10 month BREAKTHROUGH Course. If you’re keen to commit to some serious growth then you may want to get more information, watch a video and get previous participants feedback on .
