PPOC Open House

You're invited to PPOC's open house event! Our Open House is a great opportunity for all our members and guests to come together, get to know each other a little better, meet our vendor sponsors, and to eat some great food! It really is a celebration of PPOC! I love this event because we really get the time to talk with everyone and see what new and exciting things our vendors have to offer.

A successful attempt to promote member introductions and dialogue to find common interests and to create a "reason to attend and participate" in the organization. Suggestion: Club officers should split the attendees list between themselves. Approach two members that are not acquainted and facilitate an introductions and experiences dialogue for 5 minutes. This is something that can happen at every meeting. The sooner each new club member feels comfortable with the "social core" of the group on a first name basis, the stronger and more involved the total membership becomes. This is a "win-win" situation as club officers become increasing aware of who and why members are there, what their needs are and to start building a base for relationship between members. Name tags should be worn at each meeting. For my part, it's my responsibility to seek out at least 3 members that I talked to last night and to continue that social process that is so important to organization success.

Had a great time--very well organized and met tons of nice people...mainly because the PPOC president had us each introduce ourselves and because of that, several people who were interested in my speciality came over to talk to me.

I thought it was great to meet everyone and I enjoyed talking to quite a few awesome photographers about their websites.
