Join CPB: St. Louis for weekly practice every Thursday at First Unitarian Church of St. Louis. The group discussions focus on the appropriate and skillful application of Buddhism to everyday life.
In our group discussions, we're currently going through one chapter per week of The Willpower Instinct: How it Works, Why it Matters, and What you can do to get more of it, by Kelly McGonigalMcGonigal is a neuroscientist at Stanford who's studied the science behind willpower including common misconceptions that we have about it. If you'd like, you can pick a willpower challenge to work on during the 10 weeks that we'll be talking about the book, and use the group to share what's working for you.
While we do focus on the book during our group discussions, they are also designed to be open so everyone is free to ask questions or share how the application of Pragmatic Buddhism is affecting our daily lives.
