New Meeting: What's a SuperDelegate to do?

Announcing a new meeting for New York City International Affairs Club!

What: What's a SuperDelegate to do?

When: Thursday, March 13, 7:15 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meeting Description: Hi All,

The Democratic Primary has been of much international interest. It is clear now that neither Clinton nor Obama will be winning the 2025 delegates needed to clinch the nomination without help from the yet un-pledged Super Delegates. There has been much excitement and debate about the nature of the Super Delegates, and how democratic the whole process is. The question thus becomes, how do you think the Super Delegates should break, for Obama or Clinton? And what implications will that have for the Democratic Party?

If you have an opinion, want a debate or discussion, to air your views or absorb some from others join us at the Telephone bar for an informal gathering. I won't be making any reservations, let's keep it informal so that we can mingle and get to talk to more people. I'll keep the size to 15 to start with, and if there's more interest then increase it.

Here's some information to chew on:
1. Howard Dean explains the nature of Super Delegates here.

2. The Delegate Count is here in CNN.

3. The popular vote so far with the caveats of Florida and Michigan.

4. And the latest national Electoral Match Up.

5. You can play around with the delegate allocation in Slate

let's mull on these, and meet this coming Thursday for a spirited discussion.

see you there,
