In this course, we introduce intermediate concepts and techniques for shooting video with a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Targeted at intermediate videographers and anyone interested in shooting better video, this course covers intermediate cinematography topics.

Required Equipment

• Camera - DSLR or Mirrorless that records video
• A fully charged battery
• A freshly formatted memory card
• Note-taking supplies
• Tripod

Audience

This course is geared towards those who have attended the Basic Video class at Precision camera or have the equivalent skill set in videography. The concepts covered assume you are a photographer and understand intermediate photography concepts as well as have been shooting or understand basic concepts of videography.

Schedule and Format

This is a hands-on and excursion-based class. The first three hours of class are spent in the Precision Camera classroom covering the topics outlined above. The last two hours of class are spent off-site with models shooting video and putting the concepts into practice, asking questions and receiving one-on-one guidance.

If you arrive to the class and find the store closed, please head to the auxiliary door on the north side of the building and ring the doorbell. Someone will come to let you in the building.

About the Instructor

Todd White specializes in fashion, portrait and commercial photography/videography. He has photographed with many country artists including Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and George Strait. A selection of these photos have been published in People and Country Weekly magazines. Other commercial work has been published in Vogue, British Vogue, the Wall Street Journal and Texas Highways. Other commercial clients include Altar'd State, Facebook, Pinterest and Neiman Marcus. Todd has videography and editing experience in fashion and commercial projects. He has shot/edited spots for Austin Area Chevy, The Alamo in San Antonio, City of Georgetown and Rudy's BBQ. He is the Director of Media for Fashion X and Producer and Videographer for the Daytripper TV show on PBS.
