Talk 2: Barriers and benefits of bringing IoT into an organization

by Yahya El Iraki, CEO at mySeat (http://www.myseat.fr)

Description: Managers are eager to refine their understanding of how the commodities provided to their employees are being used over time. But, few of them take the step towards heavy-duty smart building systems to enable data collection, and therefore enrich their Business Intelligence and refine their real estate strategy. Most of them perceive important barriers in doing so, including cost, impact on existing IT systems and social acceptance. We will see in the presentation how a new generation of IoT tools allows managers to overcome these barriers and transform data into ROI.

Bio: Yayha El Iraki is a 25 year-old electrical engineer, and CEO of MySeat. Having worked with real estate and facilities managers in the scope of workplace transformation, Yahya is well placed to share his experience in terms of enabling IoT systems inside corporations with various cultures and HR policies.

Talk 3: Building an IoT business, not an IoT product; challenges and lessons learned

by Mathieu Lachaine, Founder and CEO at Ubios (http://www.ubios.co)

Description: When your idea is a large vision, how do you get from idea to innovative product? Which product management strategies to use to “crack the market” open and and a winning value proposition in an uncharted market? In the last 3 years, Ubios went from idea to the first successful public equity crowdfunding campaign in North America. This is the story.

Bio: Serial entrepreneur, adventurer, involved citizen, disrupter. Coming from an information security background, what started as another side project to test a few crazy ideas in electronics is now in the final steps before launch.

And he could well change the way we think about the smart home: as a sustainable energy-efficient, human-centered lifestyle for the future.
