Social yoga workshop with Richard

Clube Desportivo da Graca

Guest workshop from Richard Brook (www.creativewellness.eu) Suitable for both experienced yogis and beginners wondering "what's this yoga and meditation stuff about? And deep relaxation? - Isn't that what happens when I'm watching TV with a packet of crisps and a glass of red?" Well not really, all that does is trance you out, with your hypothalamus and nervous system still over-stimulated. This feel-good event will slow down the processes of your body, so you go beyond your 'normal' state of relaxation, allowing you to rest and replenish more deeply and your nervous system and hormones to re-balance. Plus you get things you might be missing in a busy life - quality awareness of your body and contact with other people! The evening flows something like this.... -Intro talk on an aspect of wellbeing -Initial relaxation -Yoga sequences including some partner yoga exercises -Meditation -Deep relaxation -Questions -Social at nearby venue to hang out! About Dru Yoga The class features graceful and potent Dru Yoga, based on flowing movements, directed breathing and visualisation. It builds heightened feelings of positivity while deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. It's also suitable for all and focuses on the body releasing, no need to push or force. What people are saying (from classes in London): "Highly recommend this class folks, I went for the first time last week. Richard guides you along to create a lovely balance between being energised and relaxed. Great for the non-flexible types like myself. :-)" "I attended your Yoga meetup - amazing experience! And great idea to link with a social!"
