Another brilliant series of games last Sunday(15th Sept) - and fantastic that after just a few short weeks there are now a good number of regulars and familiar faces. We are going again this Sunday 22nd. All are welcome! It's a very sociable, fun way to spend a couple of hours and a brilliant way to get super fit, improve co-ordination, speed, balance and team work. Suitable for everyone! If you are a complete novice - no problem! We start with a warmup and practice session, demonstrating basic throwing and catching techniques.(First 20 mins). It's very easy to get the hang of the basics. We will then divide players into 2 teams and play a series of short games of "Ultimate Frisbee" and/or "Steamboat'. These games really build fitness and skills, in a very enjoyable way. We will mix up the teams ever-so often to keep things as even and balanced as possible. We don't take it too seriously - it's all about having fun! The rules for Ultimate are so very simple, as illustrated here: https://www.su.nottingham.ac.uk/sports/sport/ultimatefrisbee/ Some Videos that give a good idea: High Skill Level: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Gei3k15lIA Mixed teams playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3B_eWTQeSA If you don't wish to play for the full two hours, no worries - just turn up and play for however long. Just let us know, so we can plan accordingly. We have lots of frisbees, but if you want to bring your own, please do. Please wear the appropriate running shoes and relevant gear and bring a bottle of water Note: This is also posted under another group 'Nottingham Social Activities Group'
