O que fazemos

This page is the Meetup.com pointer to http://tripython.org (http://trizpug.org). Python users in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) North Carolina region meet on the 4th Thursday of each month (except the Novermber and December special meetings on the 3rd Thursdays). We welcome you to join us. TriPython (formerly TriZPUG) has been meeting monthly since 2002 and is fun-loving band of Python® zealots trying to learn more. TriPython has a very loose organization, charges no dues, and ranges from newbies to gurus. We are focused on improving the usability of Python products through self-education and outreach. In addition to meeting, we have a Python powered email list ( http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/trizpug/ ), a Planet blog ( http://planet.trizpug.org ), an IRC channel (http://tripython.org/Members/cbc/irc-channel (http://trizpug.org/Members/cbc/irc-channel)), and a Twitter channel ( http://twitter.com/trizpug ). Meetings are also posted to Meetup.com if we get around to it. However, the TriPython email list ( http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/trizpug/ ) is our main communications and announcement mechanism.

TriPython October 2019 Meeting: PySimpleGUI – Democratizing Python GUIs

Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI), Suite 590, Biltmore Conference Room, Room 534

THIS IS A HANDS-ON TALK. BRING YOUR LAPTOP. Introducing a new way to write GUIs in Python, using interfaces and design patterns familiar to all Python programmers: PySimpleGUI (http://www.PySimpleGUI.org). This talk is in three parts. A presentation will be followed by getting you set up on-line, and then hands-on demos of PySimpleGUI (https://pysimplegui.trinket.io/demo-programs#/demo-programs/the-basic-pysimplegui-program). Extemporaneous "lightning talks" of 5-10 minute duration are also welcome and don't need to be pre-announced. Lightning talks are for you to "show and tell" something you've learned about Python recently, no matter how small. We all use Python, therefore, we are always learning something new about Python that we can tell others. Plenty of free parking is available in the RENCI parking deck. The meeting will be followed by our usual after-meeting at a nearby tavern for food and beverage. Come join us for a fun and informative evening.
