Aloha, pugs and people. Due to member input, we are instituting some general guidelines for the message board. These guidelines are not aimed at any particular member and are being implemented so we can continue to have a positive and educational environment on this message board while abiding by meet up stipulations and limiting liability for your organizers and this group. We ask your consideration and cooperation.

1--Message postings should be informational, educational, and positive. We ask that members remember this is a place to share things about pugs, for pugs, etc.

2--Messages should be worded carefully. Remember that in writing, there is always room for personal interpretation. And, don't say anything on the message boards you would not say to another member in person.

3--If you feel a message thread is getting to "heated" or you take offense at a particular topic, please email you organizers directly before confronting another member. Your organizers will address the matter privately with members.

4--Please do not "bump" posts. Allow the message board to flow naturally and do not attempt to move another poster's message deep into the message boards. If you have a problem with the posts, contact your organizers first.

5--BREEDERS who are posting. Meet Up does not actually allow solicitations that would result in the income of a member. Since breeders sell pups for money, this could be seen as a violation of meet up rules. As organizers, we are using our discretion and allowing breeders to post so those who want puppies can find them. Below are the guidelines for breeder's postings:

a--breeders can post an initial post. Your organizers will follow up with a standard email directing prospective buyers to the File section and to the AKC website to expand their knowledge on the breed and about selecting a puppy breeder.

b--breeders should post as much contact info as possible as organizers will urge buyers to contact the breeder directly and not on the message boards.

c--if you have questions of a breeder, contact them directly.

d--after the initial posting, your organizers will 'CLOSE' the thread of any breeder posting so there will be no "back and forth" on the board.

e--Breeders will be allowed to respond to anyone asking for puppies and can refer them to their personal contact info or their original message thread.

6--Since some have viewed rescue efforts as "solicitations" and to keep equity among members, any rescue posting that has similiar information on soliciations will also be bound to the breeder guidelines posted above.

Also, please keep in mind when using this board: We want to provide a welcoming and informational environment for all. And, we all do NOT share the same opinions but think first before responding or posting. Remember, you get more flies with honey!!

Again, thank you all for your continued support and participation. Please email us directly should you have any suggestions or concerns. Your organizers will certainly entertain any reasonable requests/suggestions.
