The ideal candidate has created commercial software products, implemented complex algorithms, has worked in multiple modern programming languages (C, Ruby, Python, etc.), and must be great with data management systems (Postgres, Hadoop stores, NoSQL stores, etc.). Must be an expert Linux user and a quick study in new technologies.

Skills Required:
Ability to translate requirements from multiple stakeholders into a well designed technological solution.
Experience working as part of an Agile team, utilizing scrum, pair programming, working in sprints, and being religious about unit testing.
Must know at least three modern programming languages, e.g. C, Ruby, Python, Erlang, C with an aptitude to learn others.
Ability to create reasonably usable web applications using Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
Comfort and familiarity with SQLs and relational databases (Postgres preferred), including schema design, data management, and schema migrations.
Expertise in Linux system administration with Debian-specific expertise preferred.
Natural curiosity and drive to learn new tools and ways to work more productively.
Knowledge of computer science theories, concepts, and design principles.
