Sysadmin & Programmer 

Barcelona, Spain (Full-time) 

Zymvol Biomodeling SL is a biotech startup specialized in the discovery and development of new industrial enzymes through computer simulations. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated computer scientist for a hybrid sysadmin / programmer position. The selected candidate should be available in October 2019. 

The job

You will be working closely with the CTO, managing the IT infrastructure. 

Additionally, you will be

- involved in the development of internal tools and code refactoring.

- in charge of Cybersecurity procedures (password control, monitoring or backup management).

The candidate

You are comfortable with both system administration and coding. You are very adaptable, as you will have to be involved on different tasks during the day. Also, you are eager to improve your sysadmin/programmer skills and learn new ones.

Experience and Skills

- Computer science degree or similar

- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Argo workflows is a plus)

- Knowledge of Cybersecurity

- LAN management, user management, LDAP, etc.

- Good command of Python (this is Zymvol's mother tongue) and other programming languages. React (Javascript or Typescript) is desirable.

- Knowledge of coding best practices
