Hackathon!

The idea is to get as many developers in the same room as we can and coding.  Bring in your own projects, get help from other developers, mentor those new to python, share expertise or do whatever else you like.

The only organized project we'll have is a team working on the pythonkc.com site.  Besides that, it's all fair game.

Great meetup, met a lot of interesting developers, everyone was very friendly! Unfortunately didn't get to do any hacking, but I did have fun chatting with everyone :)

I was nervous to attend because I am truly a beginner in every respect, and knew I wouldn't be able to contribute to any of the projects going on at the hack-a-thon. I found, however, that the group was extremely welcoming. Several of the group members spent over two hours getting the few of us beginners going with Django. Awesome experience!

Totally willing to change it for future meetings if that's the consensus of the group. I'm thinking next meeting will have to be in the afternoon anyway because of the venue it's going to be at.

Morning people, eh? I'll pass along the info to my friend, maybe he can catch another meetup.

Zach, meetings are usually about 2 - 4 hours depending. Sometimes we rotate to an afternoon meeting. It seems most people prefer morning though.

I have a friend interested in going, but 10am is too early for him. How long does the meetup usually last? I noticed the last one was at 2pm, that would have been more ideal :(
