I am interested in contributing to an open-source project that uses Python. I don't much experience with open-source contribution, so any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Chris, thank you for the response. I understand the technologies required. I am also familiar with contributing code, as I have been a developer for some time. You make a good point about contacting the project lead for information. I have seen that sometimes, there is a group of lead developers that are allowed to commit to the project. The main thing I need help with, is finding a good project to work with and what the normal protocols of communication and submitting pull requests are. Normally, I have seen that projects want assistance with bug fixes, but I don't know if that is the norm to start with. Again, thanks for the reply. It looks like we'll be seeing each other on Saturday for the Hackathon. --Zach
