Configuration Management (organizing configuration in python projects)

I'm gonna to talk about different approaches on how to handle configuration in python projects. I'll say few words how it's done in web frameworks I have worked with (pyramid, django, flask) and ofcourse I'll try to answer the question which practices are the best.
