High Mountain Qigong and Oo-long!

Come to learn and practice Qigong (Chi-Kung) - the art of life-force cultivation and moving in unity with the Nature!

The word Qigong is translated from Mandarin as 'working with Qi', the life-force which we share with the rest of the world.

By using specific postures of the body and combining them with directed breath and intent - the Qi can be cultivated and replenished to promote harmonious living, boost your health, and give you certain grace and inner strength to achieve your life goals.

The class is split in two parts;

First part is a so-called 'Yang' Qigong where we learn how to feel the Qi and direct it with our intent, breathing, and specific movements. There is a lot of emphasis of integrating your mind, energy and movements into one, while aligning the flows of energy with the Natural rhythms and flows.

Second part is 'Yin' Qigong where we are in turn learn to follow and be directed by the Qi. This is where all body, mind and heart get a boost of the nature's power and our pains whether physical or emotional are relieved - the nature heals, not the doctor! This is where exercises are not prescribed but are coming spontaneously to address your personal needs. A powerful group healing session is provided during this part. You can learn more about this practice here on my website.

Tea Break - we have a tea break in between where we discuss our experiences. If you love good Chinese tea - come over as we have some really special teas from China and Taiwan tasted during the class! Sometimes we also taste Chinese herbal decoctions of warming and core-strengthening nature to support the practice.

Location - the Mountain and the Bush. You may think that Waiatarua is a bit too far for some people, despite being under 30 min drive from Auckland CBD. However, it is a UNIQUE location for Qigong. Located at the topmost point of Auckland this is where the Yang Qi is at its strongest and it will let you to work through your blockages a lot more efficiently. The strong Yang is also well-balanced by the Yin of the native bush, amazing waterfalls and magnificent Kauri trees all around us when we practice.

Suggested Koha: $20
