Alistair Sutton: Log Analysis with Splunk

Splunk is a business intelligence commercial product which we have used for log analysis.

This talk will cover an overview of what Splunk is and how we configured it to monitor a simple web service.

I will run through the basics of configuration, how to navigate around the Splunk GUI and how to generate simple reports.

This should be enough to showcase the benefits of using the tool from small to enterprise sized projects.

Alistair Sutton is a Senior Consultant at Shine Technologies and heads up the Brisbane office.
