Choose your own adventure in Morocco… From ancient medinas to vast Saharan dunes, Morocco’s enchanting landscapes will mesmerize and transport you back in time as you haggle for spices and textiles in bustling souks, sleep under an immense blanket of twinkling stars in the Sahara Desert, and caravan by camel just like Berber nomads. See the magical sights of Morocco and still have time to explore for a customized experience.

• The Blue City: Chefchaouen’s brilliant blues will engulf you for 3 days/2 nights there whereas many tours skip it or just do a quick stop.

• It’s your trip so do what you want to do!: All the must-sees are included, but you’ll have free time at each destination to do optional activities such as henna painting, hikes, hammams (spas), and shopping!

• Extraordinary accommodations: The riads on this trip are hand-picked for their uniqueness and quality. They include a boutique hotel that is built right into the side of a gorge wall and a luxury desert camp straight out of Arabian Nights!

Open art studio NW!

Needs a location

I did this event last year and it was a fun experience. Hopefully the event will be more interesting outside of pandemic worries.

https://portlandopenstudios.com/2022-artist/artist-communities/nw-portland-2022.html

We'll be doing the Northwest of Portland, only the studios circled in red.

We will likely hang out at some place on 21st or 23rd area for food and drinks.

Our meeting location will be at the 1st art studio, but we will gather by the elevator downstairs. If you want to explore on your own first, feel free to do so. From there we will take a random route to see the art studios

Total walking may exceed 1 mile so if you aren't adept at walking long distances, this might not be for you.

We will begin the meetup at 2:15pm.

Parking will be all street parking and should be free within all the areas we are visiting.

If you miss the meetup but want to socialize, look for info on our location in the comments section. We will likely be done with the art walk by 3:15pm.

This event is being cross promoted in 8 other groups: PDX Anything Goes!, Portland travel buddies and fun events, Portland travel fun and activities, Badass happy hour mofos, Art Geeks, The Beervana Experience, Young Professionals Social Club, and Uniquely Portland.

Iceland Trip! - Oct 2022!

Needs a location

ICELAND TRIP!
• Dates: October 14 - 24, 2022 (11 days)
• Cost: $4200 (per person, excluding flights)
• Single supplement: $650
• Details: https://globe-drifters.com/trip/trip-to-iceland/

Check out pictures from our past trips to get an idea of the group and what we do: https://www.flickr.com/photos/155293978@N02/albums/72157712181955351.

See below for more information. Please email [masked] if you have any questions.

A slow-paced, small group tour through Iceland… There’s so much to do and see in Iceland that it’s tough to fit it all in one trip. Lots of fast-paced tours cram everything into 5 short days, but we take our time and travel at a slow pace along the famous Ring Road in 11 days which means no rushing in and out of the bus with only 10 minutes to take a photo at every stop. Our small group size also allows us to experience some of Iceland’s less-traveled spots:

• Hot springs: In addition to the must-see Blue Lagoon, cleanse your body & soul in some less crowded hot springs.

• Secret Iceberg Lagoon: Take a zodiac to a “hidden” iceberg lagoon where it’ll be just you and the towering masses of ice, up close and personal!

• Beer spa & jacuzzi: Soak in wooden, beer-filled jacuzzis overlooking breathtaking mountain ranges all while sipping on your favorite glass of lager.

If you are interested or have any questions, you can email [masked].
