What would you like to learn and experience by participating in this group?

Would love to learn the secrets to the delicious salads at Beets and The Juice Bar. My BS is under control for over a year but want off meds. BP is normal again with Advocare but want to get off the plateau in wt loss. Vegan and raw foods are the key to this I believe. Learning new dishes and meeting new friends would be a benefit. Encouragement from friends during my husband's illness/widowhood were food for my spirit and soul. Now I seek wellness in my body. Family history does not encourage a disease free long life. Major illness has or is affecting my six siblings. but will not change. This is the only body I have to work with to make better after the highly stressful fifteen years where thinking different was not allowed. Husband prepared high fat meals for us. He had a major heart attack and esophageal cancer and cured his none controlled diabetic body with cancer. Not the way to do it.

How did you get interested in raw foods and health?

Raw food/vegan has become a point of interest from others who have seen me change my weight and the way I look. The foods that Ritamarie makes are wonderful that she post on my Facebook account. I now see the influence against the other family members fatting foods being shown on the page. I want to know more about this way of living because of my family's history of illness. You live with someone fighting cancer for three years then you change your way of thinking and eating.


For the past year and half, I have been on a renewal of my mind, body and spirit. This follows being care giver for 3 yrs 24/7 and then widowhood. I've been participating in Advocare with my family but am stuck in wt loss thus raw foods.

Would like to have some of the recipes tried to remake at home and share with friends. I would like the jimaca salad recipe. The yogurt was wonderful and the lemon pudding and and and well you get the picture. Looking forward to reading a trying the recipes in your new book.
