A great event with Florida Wild Edibles Expert & Author, Andy Firk.
Eat for free in the wild. Learn how to find the most nutrient-dense foods. Learn how to survive & thrive in nature.
Meet outside the Selby Library, on the south side steps, at 2:45 pm. We leave at 3 pm sharp, for an in-the-city search and discussion of useful plants of Florida. From seagrapes to natal plums, from pongam to cocoplums, we'll find them, and we'll talk about them. $10 donation at the start of the walk. Let me know in a private message if you can't afford to pay and we'll make it happen, no problemo. Allow time to find parking, as weekends in downtown Sarasota tend to be a little busy. We end the walk back at the starting point at 6 pm. At 6:15, we are having an optional plant swap. Andy's mobile phone, the day of the walk, is 863-263-2331. Meet outside the south entrance to Selby Library (not inside, but by the front steps).
