Hello Sandie,
My name is Jackie and I'm a member.
I do have 2 friends that owned RESTAURANTS that can offer a Vegan Thanksgiving Dinner for all your members.  Both places have a kitchen and can also offer spaces for board games and TV's too for watching football games and relaxing.
Who is your cell phone provider?  Mine is Verizon.  If yours is Verizon, then we can talk anytime and not wasted any minutes.  My cell # -- (4) 546- 7531.
      Questions --
1) What is your definition of "Violence"?  Is it the non-killing of turkeys, chicken, pigs, cows and other meats?
2) On 11/24/11, what time?
3) Are you and your members willing to pay for the usage of the restaurant?  How much?
Let's talk.

Subject: [rawfood-380] Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day

Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a central location to hold a Cruelty Free, Non-Violent Thanksgiving Day (November the 24th) Vegan Potluck. We would need a space that offers a kitchen so food can be kept warm, hot, cool or cold as needed.  Seating  for a group of 15, 20 or more, depending on the interest.  A TV with DVD would be great for those interested in viewing DVDs, a place for board games and relaxing afterwards.  We would like to create it as a family Thanksgiving Dinner would normally be without the violence of the traditional holiday dinner.  Or if there is a restaurant out there that is open on Thanksgiving Day that would offer us a Vegan Thanksgiving Dinner would be an option too!   Check around, ask, offer and let me know.  Also, I am looking into having our first annual Cleveland Vegan Fest next year October 2012.  I would like to start on Friday evening, all day Saturday and be finished by afternoon on Sunday.  Dates have not been confirmed. So again, the question goes out to all of you to come up with locations, places that know vegan menus (and are willing to work with special meals such as no oil, gluten free, no nuts, raw, etc,) overnight affordable hotels, etc.  We have plenty of speakers and groups locally who can teach us locals all we need to know and then some!  We'd like to have exhibitors, too and groups who are earth, animal and vegan friendly!  If any of you would like to form a committee to get our First Cleveland Vegan Fest off the ground for next year, please let me know!  Sandie at [masked] or reply to this meetup site as well.
