Red Bank Humanists, founded in 2003, is a nonprofit organization devoted to the philosophy of secular humanism. If you are a skeptic, agnostic, atheist, nonbeliever, freethinker, humanist, or just plain post-theological, then please join us. Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism and other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity. Our Activities:

Monthly Forums

We meet the second Sunday of every month, except in August, when we have a picnic. We meet at Red Bank Charter School, 58 Oakland Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701 - From 10:30am to 12:00pm. Attendance at the forums is usually 50 - 70 people, except our February Darwin Day forum when it is closer to 100.

Humanist Salons

We hold a Saturday night potluck dinner 3 - 4 times a year at the Woman’s Club of Red Bank. After dinner, we normally have a discussion topic. It’s an opportunity to meet and talk with others in the group. Attendance is normally 20 - 40 people.

Drinking Post-Theologically

A mixer on the last Thursday of each month at the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank. We will be in the Pearl Lounge, on the couches behind the elevators. Relax and meet other Humanists, Free-Thinkers, Agnostics, Atheists, Skeptics, and those who are just post-theological. Attendance is normally 8 - 10 people.

Book Group

Our monthly book group alternates between fiction and non-fiction, normally on the first Thursday of the month. The book group currently has 18 members.

Community Outreach Group

Our Community Outreach Group is “Humanism In Action”. We organize monthly collections at our forums and also volunteer projects serving the community. We have 10 members on the COG committee but many RBH members are involved in our collections and projects. We would love more COG members so please consider joining us.

We have a small gathering 3 - 4 times a year to discuss a philosophical topic. Attendance is normally around 10 people.

Facebook Group

We have a Facebook Group where people can share interesting articles and keep in touch between activities.  If you are interested in joining the conversation:
