You can find a list of files up for review, as well as add new files for discussion here: http://files.restonwriters.org/ .

There you will also find, up a directory, a place to upload Beta Reads, Chapter Summaries, a space for documents for review the week following this, and the archives of our past meeting.

This is a read aloud critique group whose members are serious about being traditionally published. Please attend at least four (4) meetings before submitting your work for review to get a feel for the group dynamic.

Every writer receives approximately 45 mins. of critique, including reading their piece.

We try to start promptly at 6:30pm, though we try to have the tables set up by 6:00 if you want to come early and chat or get some writing done. Only one read ahead piece per meeting.

We have a weekly, collective word limit of 7,500 and a total, individual limit for each writer of 10,000 words per month.

Remember: we are here to grow as writers and to be open-minded to the suggestions given. You may hand back hard copy or e-mail comments to each writer but only after the meeting as we encourage people to participate in the discussion.
