Get-together dinner for members and other returnees

Announcing a new Meetup for Returned Overseas Singaporeans in Singapore (R.O.S.S.)!

What: Get-together dinner

When: February 6,[masked]:30 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

It has been quite some time since we have had a get-together, and we have many new members since that date. As quite a few people are back visiting for the Chinese New Year, I am proposing that we organise a get-together for the evening of Friday, 6th February (as by then most of us would have completed our CNY visits/reunions/meals and it isn't Chap Goh Mei yet (that's on 9th Feb). I shall be back myself between 24th January and 9th February and will be happy to meet with members at other times (please send me your contact details if you would like to meet up).

No venue yet, but I have written to Steffan to request that he gives some thought to this. However, I felt that it would be prudent to give you all advance notice so that those of you who are in Singapore at the time and would like to get together can book this date and time.

I shall also be approaching some Singaporeans who live overseas, but who are back visiting (and who are not necessarily members of this group) to ask them to come and join us, so that we can have attendees from a wider spread of countries and backgrounds to make the evening more interesting.

Please RSVP in the usual manner if you are interested, but please do NOT do so if you don't intend to turn up on the night - we have had bad experience with no-shows! It is extremely rude and inconsiderate to others to do so. Anybody who RSVP with Maybe will have to make up his or her mind by 31st January or the RSVP will be cancelled automatically.

Best wishes for Chinese New Year - Xinnian Kuaile!
