After nearly three years of construction, the Washington Bridge linear park is open ( George Redman Linear Park ). A Pedestrian and bike path over the Seekonk River, the linear park bridge connects the East Side of Providence with East Providence.

We will move at a moderate pace for about 6 ~ miles. We head back down the hill to the Washington Bridge, climb the hill and cross over the Seekonk River down the switchbacks into India Point Park. From here we will head down South Water Street walking under the I Way to the Providence River front check put the new pedestrian bridge and follow the river along South Main for a bit before heading up toward College Hill and Prospect Terrace where we will walk historic Benefit Street on the lower East Side and loop back via Benefit Street and the 195 pedestrian cross over and head back to EP. Directions: The closest address is 200 Veterans Memorial Pkwy. That is not the actual address. The lot is across the street. Across from Mercer Street.

Take exit 1B off 195 East. Bear right on the on ramp towards Riverside. Parking lot is on the right at the top of the hill.
