This group is to study and improve jazz together. I am looking for other like-minded people who want to have an informal jam session. I am not looking for professionals, but rather beginning and intermediate level players. We would choose a couple of songs from the Real Books (I, II and III) or other Jazz Standards every meeting that we prepare and play for the next meeting. I would like to keep the meetings small (shouldn't be a problem :-) ). I play guitar, but I have piano (in tune), a piano keyboard and a couple of amps. I also have a set of electric drums and a snare drum.
I look forward to playing with others and expanding our understanding of this great American art form.
